I love Chickadees. They are local to my area and I always hear them singing so beautifully. It makes nature just so pleasant to be surrounded by.
Even a little ant was captured in my shot, I didn't feel it necessary to depict my sketch without it.
Steps:
Initial sketch for layout and proportions (all with mechanical pencil)
Add more detail. Quick strokes to capture the feathers
Used the good ol' "blur using the oil from your fingers technique" to portray the blur created from the macro shot
