My family has been in North America a long time. To continue on #myintroduction I will share a little history and give some insight as to the direction I am heading.
The book is the result of a huge project that looked at two Arsenault ancestors in North America. Pierre Arsenault arrived in Acadia around 1671 and Francois Arsenault arrived in St Lawrence Valley around 1664. The project was launched in 1993 on the eve of the first World Acadian Congress (Congres Mondial Acadien) that took place in New Brunswick, Canada.
Now I always like to learn new things so I asked my AI buddy, Bing,
What does it mean to understand genealogy ?
The reply...
Got to take advantage of technology. Beware of AI's lol
Now back to a little history and the programmable device called Human.
I invested a lot of time and money to fully understand history and the impact it has on ones future. Including personal development, family values, community goals, ecosystem integration and most important; Respect for Mother Nature. Who has the wealth? Who is pre-dispositioned? What is the purpose of ones action? These I see as timeless questions that applied to building anything new or making a genuine change to whatever it is you wish to do or obtain. Don't be fooled by the next hyped-up dream? Work on methods and techniques that build and/or improve the foundation before you get too high and wonder why your dream was just that, a dream.
I call it knowing the As-Is. For the last 20+ years, it seems there is an increase of disregard toward the importance of understanding the As-Is. Way too much reactive behaviour and not enough pro-active behaviour.
Now I have not been on Hive for a month yet so I need more time to study the As-Is some more. I want to better understand the impact on future development of dApps. I have to read the stories and better understand the purpose behind the stories. I am interested in finding a good way to transition and integrate the needs of my clients into blockchain technologies. So I am focused on creating a traffic exchange community on hive to capture the interest of all stakeholders. If you need to maneuver in traffic then your a stakeholder.
Back to colonization for a bit, my family history goes back to some of the first permanent European settlement in North America. Early Acadian families were well integrated with many Indigenous families. There was a lot of sharing and respect for Mother Earth. We learned the Indigenous stories. There were many stories shared. From my mother's side, Comeau, with various form of spelling there as well, I was able to make a connection as far back as around year 1000 in Ancient France. Fast forward to today, a lot of history has been polluted with a lot of noise. That noise level is high in some places. I am guessing, no matter where you are right now reading this, there is a lot of noise in your world. Noise that prevent you from operating at your best and thus negatively impacting returns from your time and money. Ok, I am sure some have implemented techniques to manage noise, distraction and disinformation. Great not to be alone!
Over the years I have had the opportunity to learn many different methods and techniques to help filter noise in systems. We are all part of a system, many sub-systems interconnected; so the more you understanding how things are connected, the greater the possibility of contributing to a positive and genuine change in any existing system. When I use the term system, that includes people, technology, processes, procedures, documentation and more. How well these elements are addressed will be reflected on the quality of deliverables.
Interestingly, I see indicators of potential incipient problems in our Hive community. That may be discussed in a future post once I gather more data. I see a wide variation on the quality of white papers produced as part of an initial token release. I see a future post on this finding.
Time for another task. Have an awesome day everyone.
Thank you all for making time to read about the importance of understanding the As-Is situation.
Please consider joining our PEPT traffic exchange community.
