Oh my goodness I love to detest this horrible human being for just being so despicable! His story is fantastical and we won't go into all of it in this post but some of you will have heard of his incredible playboy antics or Malaysia's infamous 1MDB scandal!
This is much more the kind of post I wanted to write for this "Named & Shamed"
Jho Low's over the top antics was soleyly paid for with stolen billions from the poorest people of Malaysia! From the mouths of the children of some of the poorest people in the world! What is so appealing about the infamous Jho Low is that he looks just like you'd expect him to - a total toad! And that is how we will refer to him in this post.
It's important to emphasised here that he is not to be confused with J.Lo but I assume their bottoms are of similar girth!
Lets Name & Shame Jho "The Toad" Low
Jho Lo's antics are legendary and we are going to get into some of his more extravagant stunts shortly but here's a quick look at this appalling individual and how he became to be the legendary toad he is today!

The Toad grew up in Penang, Malaysia and eventually went to Harrow School in England. This expensive public boarding school was to help him build his contact list. Eventually he became friends with a guy called Riza Aziz who's mother Rosmah Mansor married the current prime minister of Malaysia. She is another classic of extreme proportions! 😉
The 1MDB Scandle
This is a heated topic that covers the theft of billions from the Malaysian people. It is alleged that the Toad was an integral part of this theft. This is currently an ongoing investigation in more than half a dozen countries and people have gone to jail over this affair. This case is also the US Department Of Justice's largest kleptocracy case, ever. Developments in this sordid affair are moving more swiftly now!

What is clear is that after this series of heists many of these individuals who are now under investigation had lots of money to spend freely and spend big. The major heists were facilitated by none other than Goldman Sachs who made unusually large commissions on the transactions. The true stories of billionaire living from other crooks from the theft of poor people is extremely interesting but in this episode we will focus just on the Toad.
How Would A Toad Spend Billions Of Stollen Money?
There are too many stories to mention here but these are just some of the classics!
- Party with all the cheesy celebrities like Paris Hilton and Leonardo DiCaprio. Spend big on your new friends and huge in Las Vegas casinos. Pay all the bills and look like a toad! 1
- Organise the biggest 30th birthday party in Las Vagas, ever. 2. Complete with dwarves, carnival, Britney Spears performing. The Lot. What a Toad!
- Try to buy and in some cases succeed in buying extremely luxurious properties.
- Fly your new A list party friends from Sydney to Las Vegas on your private jet so you can celebrate NYE twice in one day and feel like a real Toad for footing all the bills.
- Purchase the $250 million super yacht The Equanimity so that you can have your own floating Toad hall!
- Put the money up for the film The Wolf Of Wall Street.
Trying To Buy Love - Toady Style
Jho Low is reported to have paid Paris Hilton $1 million dollars to party with him but that was nothing compared to what he spent on trying to woo Miranda Kerr. According to Vogue magazine the Toad reportedly presented Miranda Kerr "with a $1.29 million 11.72 carat heart-shaped diamond engraved with Kerr’s initials, a $3.8 million 8.88 carat diamond pendant, a $1.98 million pair of 11 carat diamond earrings and a matching necklace, ring and bracelet." 3.
Still not finding himself able to buy love the Toad moved his affections to Taiwanese Mandopop singer Elva Hsiao. In true Toad style, Jho Low took her to Dubai and spent millions of dollars on a wedding proposal which included dinner on the beach and parachutists floating down to present her with expensive custom made jewellery.
She turned him down! - poor little toad!
All of this paid for with money stollen from the mouths of the poorest children! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Wolf Of Wall Street And Leonardo DiCaprio
With these stollen billions and the Toad and his buddy Riza Aziz financed the film The Wolf Of Wall Street along with their party buddy Leonardo DiCaprio. This also spilled over into financing Riza's odd growing collection of old movie posters. The profits and rights of this film are now being sought by the FBI in their case against these crooks.
It is only fitting that this gang of thieves went out of their way to make a film about theft and gross spending. You couldn't write this stuff up!
The Toad loves to buy expensive art and properties as well as lavish money and gifts of A listers he wants to impress. Leonardo DiCaprio was no different. He happily accepted a "$3.2 million Pablo Picasso painting and a $9 million Jean-Michel Basquiat collage" [4] from the Toad. He also accepted many party gifts and donations to his tax free charities. All of this money was stolen from the stomachs poorest children! He knew about this! Disgraceful!
When I recently heard Leonardo DiCaprio's voice narrating the "environmental" film Before The Flood it made me sick to my stomach and I had to leave the room which sadly was filled with many of my amazing environmental friends. How Leo has the gaul to accept gifts and money stolen from the poorest children and the destruction of the rainforest and then can get on the "environmental" bandwagon is disgusting and I want to* Name & Shame* Leo at some point too. Disgusting it makes a mockery and shows us all what this is really all about! Perhaps one of you beautiful Steemians wants to name and shame Leo - he deserves it! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Both Kerr and DiCaprio have both had to surrender their millions of dollars worth of presents from the Toad to the US Department Of Justice as part of this growing prosecution.
The Equanimity
The Toad spent bigger and bought himself a $250 million mega yacht and called it the Equanimity which can mean ‘a mental calmness, even in a difficult situation’. I mean this guy is a total classic what a joker! One source describes the Equanimity as "huge. It is about 300 feet, or almost 90 meters, in length and weighs 3,000 tonnes. Some enthusiast websites claim that the vessel can carry 28 crew members and 18 guests. One website, superyachtfan.com, claims that the vessel is the 54th largest yacht in existence." 5
The Toad is now on the run but we will come back to this shortly. The Equanimity is on the move and it's suspected that the Toad is often hiding on it. It was last spotted close to where I am on an island off the coast of Cambodia.
The Philanthropist Toad
Like most crooks when the big money came in a new and inventive narrative had to be created to exsplain the money to the public. The Toad took the usual root and began to reinvent his story to that of coming from a long line of wealthy Chinese philanthropists.
It's too tragic to mention all the lies and blatant rubbish that was crated for him by obviously highly paid PR teams but according to his own Jynwel website "Jynwel Charitable Foundation, alongside the Thomson Reuters Foundation, announced a grant to partner with the United Nations Foundation to create a global news bureau dedicated to shining a spotlight on how cross-sector collaboration is driving sustainable impact—and ultimately attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”)." 5
All these crooks helping each other to make and hid stolen money together. What a load of steaming dung!
Where In The World Is The Toad Now?
Well he's not living the A list celebrity lifestyle anymore. He is defiantly not welcome back in Malaysia where many people would take the law into their own hands just at the sight of him. From what we can gather he is hiding between Taiwan, China, Thailand or on his yacht. Billions of stollen money will buy you a lot of friends. Is is understandable that he would try to hide in Taiwan as there is no extradition with the US.
In the mean time the US Department of Justice is trying to seize movies, properties, jewellery, art and all off the other shameful bling that has been stolen from the poorest people. Will those poor people ever see it back? I doubt it but lets see!
The Toad's family are also involved and fighting tooth and nail to keep as much of this stolen money as they can around the world. The lawyers are in heaven! Legal issues are pending globally but most notably in London and New Zealand. I'm sure there will be much more to write about as this drama unfolds!
