Hey everyone!
This is part #6 of my bird photo series.
I took these photos during our trip around the world in 2014.
I have lots of bird photos, so I'm gonna split them up into several posts!
I can't remember exactly where all the photos were taken, and I'm not sure if I named all the birds correctly.
Please, feel free to correct me if I made any mistakes!
Do we have any eager birdwatchers here?
Which bird in these photos is your favorite?
My own favorite is the California Quail in the third photo. I think the topknots on their heads are very beautiful.
You may wonder why they have top knots? Apparently no one knows for sure, but the most common explanation is that the topknot helps attract a mate. A healthy topknot tells a potential suitor that he has excellent genes to pass on to baby chicks.
Pied Shag, New Zealand.
Black-Necked Stilt? USA.
California Quail, New Zealand.
Ruby-Crowned Kinglet. Vancouver, Canada.
Anna's hummingbird. San Francisco, USA.
