This big guy was putting on a show when I encountered him a little while ago. He was cruising along with his mum and younger brother when all of a sudden he violently altered his speed and direction, which indicates that he found something he wanted to chase and most probably eat. That he did indeed, it turned out to be a harbour porpoise and it was fast work from the moment he started to chase to when he was enjoying his lunch.
Shortly after, he decided to take a look above the surface to see who watched his impressive athletic triumph when catching his lunch. This behaviour is what we call a spy hop
