Hey there wonderful people of needlework community. Trust you had a great week so far. Today I am very excited more than my usual excitement to share something I believe could transform the fashion lifestyle into a seamless process. And for that I tagged this project; Look’n EFFORTLESSLY GLAM with Gem_angel.
I must say this is one of the easiest ways I have seen to be stylish without breaking the bank. At some point I thought of making it a series (hence the “I” in bracket on my tittle) but I guess that is all depending on how this one goes, if you guys would like to see more seamless way to look glamorous.
Without wasting mush of your time, let’s get into the tutorial.
For this project all you need is;
- A scarf (wide enough to cover your chest areaand part of your stomach)
- A fancy bias or ribbon of about 72inches or 182cm long.
- An office pin (the tiniest one you can find).
Just with these three things, you have yourself a jaw dropping top so seamlessly and guess what it gets even better, because you can make this in just five minute following only three simple steps. And the best part is, you don’t even need to stitch or ruin the scarf.
Step I: Find your angle
Spread of your scarfon a flat surface, preferable a table and find three angles of your choice just as illustrated in the diagram. One will serve as the up and the remaining two will serve as the sides.
Just like that, you are just two steps away from achieving a flawless look. Just In case I forgotto mention earlier, I don’t think this style will work with a scarf that is not square shape although I have other styles that would work with a rectangle shapecloth so just let me know if you would love to see it.
Step II: Pinning
This part Is on I would call the most crucial. Now you have decided on three angles, you will go ahead and fold each side by not more than one inch and fasten it with at least two pins by the tips ensuring there are enough gaps in front to pass your rope. Ensure that the pin is fastened so little that it doesn’t show at the front part.
Note that it would help to iron out your scarf before you start pinning to get an even and neat finish.
Step III: Passing the rope
Finally, the momentof truth. You will pass your rope through the loops starting from the up.
After you have passed your loop from the up, make sure the ropes are now equal then you pass them atthe two sides from right to left. You can pass the straight or make a cross before passing them whatever works for you.
Just like that with just three steps and three things your top is ready and good to go. I hope you all liked this as much as I like making it. In fact I think this is the simplest top you will ever see to make with just three things in three steps. I believe I should name this project the 3x3 top methods. What would you rather call it though, let me know.
