Today started off with me attending TAFE, where I am studying to be a Student Learning Support Officer (SLSO), which means the teacher who helps children in the classroom who may have a disability or additional learning needs. TAFE went from 9-2 and I was able to crochet in between whilst listening in on the class. I hope you enjoy the photos below.
I also did a few lives today with BIGO Live app and actually did pretty much double my required hours as a host. Find me on there and all my other social links as well at linktree.com/nikkishealinggifts. If you follow me, I will happily follow you back.
I then proceeded to do some more cleaning for the house inspection I have tomorrow, and I have almost finished, I am going to wake up early to finish things off.
I finished the day off by steam blocking my son’s jumper, please watch this short video of the blocking process. Sorry I had to cut the audio, steaming is my preferred method of blocking, especially with acrylic yarn, whilst you want to steam everywhere, pay special attentiom to your seams and woven in ends. Blocking is a finishing technique done in both knitting and crochet to relax the stitches, and sometimes pin the finished product in thw rigjt dimensions.
Wet blocking however is generally recommended for wool and other fibres, to do this you handwash your garnment and soak in wool wash for 15-30 mins, rinse and lay/pin flat or to the right dimensions and let dry. There are special Blocking Pins, and Blocking Combs as well as a crochet wooden board with metal pegs, and im sure theres more, anyway, without further ado, enjoy the videos!
One other thing I did today was create a reiki wish box if you’d like to know more about reiki, or have me attune you, let me know in the comments section :)
My stomach was pretty well behaved today considering what it has been.
