The Watchers waited, unsure if the fire would ever return.
But from within the ash Emberborn rose.
They are not called Emberborn for what they built, but for what they withstood.
In the time before fire returned, when the Great Silence swept through our halls and the shadows of betrayal flickered against the stone, they stayed.
Some in silence, some in service, some in exile — but they stayed.
Let it be written: The Emberborn did not need light to remember the warmth. They carried it within them.
