Who are Sherpas ?
Sherpas are people from Tibetian race living in mountainous region of Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. They are famous worldwide for their bravery and their hard work to make you reach the summit of the Everest. Their body is strong enough to carry loads and loads of luggage to the Everest. Even professional mountain climber of western world are not able to do this.
What are they famous for ?
There are many tales of Sherpa helping foreigner who were stuck in the mountain, helpless. They are famous for their hospitality and their politeness. Innocence is in their face. They won't take you a lot of money for such an risky and hardworking task. All they take is some money to support their family.
They have been helping foreigners from when they started to do mountaineering. Tenhing Norge Sherpa is the first person to reach the summit of the Everest. He was a guide of Sir Edmund Hilary who also succeeded to reach Everest at the same time.
Many foreigner revisit Nepal just to meet Sherpa and spend some time with them. They are one of the most loved race of the Human Kind. They are quite popular throughout the world. Many Sherpa had died to help others.
Getting to the Summit is almost impossible without Sherpas !
