Yesterday, the Bulgarian parliament unanimously voted to declare a state of emergency in the country due to the threat of coronavirus. Until April 13th.
It means:
- Public places will close: theaters, galleries, bars and clubs.
- The Sofia markets of Malashevtsi and Poduene will close.
- Temporarily stops night transport in Sofia.
A few hours later, the Bulgarian Minister of Health updated the quarantine requirements.
Epidemiological measures should be observed until March 29.
They are as follows:
- Suspend visits to entertainment venues, bars, restaurants, cafes, as well as shops such as shopping centers (MOT). Exceptions: banks, pharmacies, grocery stores, insurance offices.
Restaurants are allowed to deliver food to their homes with strict adherence to hygiene requirements.
From March 14, restaurants and cafes should close. - Suspend classes and all extracurricular activities in schools, universities and other educational institutions. Starting Monday, online training is being introduced.
- The work of kindergartens and nurseries is suspended.
- The work of all group activities and work with children outside the education system, which are organized by individuals and legal entities, is suspended.
- All kinds of mass events, including sports, cultural and scientific, are suspended. Closed SPA centers, fitness clubs and beauty salons.
- All employers, depending on the specifics and capabilities, must introduce a remote form of work. If this is not possible, the employer must provide enhanced sanitary safety measures.
- Scheduled children's and women's consultations, preventive examinations, vaccinations, surgeries, organ transplants and visits to medical institutions are suspended.
