Whoa, what a hectic week.
Finally got onboarded on Monday, with ~40 other people at the new
workplace. Got provided with a computer and a desk and the manager
assigned me to a team with other 3 rookies.
''Your job for this week will be..''
Our first job has been to research the tech stack of a partner with whom
we will start working next Tuesday.
The work for the moment is not very demanding while we get used to the
workplace, I suspect that the purpose is to see how well we work
together and to evaluate our soft skills and then add complexity to the
recipe.
To tell the truth, I am very happy to have started working here. I was
hoping to have another long year of study before I could start working in
a company again and this scholarship has come as a godsend. Since I was relying to survive basically on savings which I didn't want to dilute too much.
I will be working part-time for the rest of the summer and by the time the
school year starts I will combine both in the academic curriculum (Mond-
Tues at the school and Wed-Frid at the company).
In a way it is ''comforting'' to feel that you have the agenda scheduled for
the next 12 months. Whatever.
Have a good weekend!
Ps. Do you like the panoramics from my desk? I love to be able to see the yachts and the sea!
