
BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) - The Kurdish-led People's Protection Units (YPG) carried out a new attack against the Turkish-backed Free Syrian (FSA) in the Afrin region of Aleppo this week.
According to Kurdish activists in northern Syria, the YPG special forces stormed the main base of the Free Syrian Army's (FSA) Sultan Murad Brigade in the Afrin region.
The activists claimed that during the attack, the YPG forces were able to kill at least two members of the Sultan Murad Brigade in the Afrin region town of Zere.
Another YPG unit carried out a similar attack against an FSA brigade in the Babila District this evening.
According to preliminary reports from the Babila front, the YPG special forces killed at least three members of the Free Syrian Army during this attack.
This latest attack comes just days after the YPG announced that they ambushed a number of Turkish-backed rebel fighters in Afrin countryside.
