Today I bring the latest news of what the European Union (EU) said about what happened in Venezuela with elections that are not considered credible.

Brussels. - The countries of the European Union have reached political agreement to apply new sanctions against. Venezuela to the holding of presidential elections that can not be considered, ask for free and transparent elections

"The European Union will act successfully, in accordance with the established procedures, with the aim of imposing restrictive, directed and reversible measures that do not harm the Venezuelan population, whose difficult situation the EU wishes to alleviate"
The European foreign ministers affirmed in a statement.

Gathered in Brussels the holders of the EU gave green light to the new restrictive Measures that will suppose sanctions to a list of people implied in the celebration of the elections

In Monday's statement, the ministers stress that the latest events in Venezuela have further distanced the possibility of a negotiated solution.

On the other hand, the European Union needs to recognize the independence of all democratically elected institutions, especially the National Assembly, the release of all political prisoners, the defense of the rule of law, human rights and fundamental freedoms.
