SEOUL/UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United States warned North Korea’s leadership it would be “utterly destroyed” if war were to break out after Pyongyang test fired its most advanced missile, putting the U.S. mainland within range, in violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions.
North Korea is prohibited from developing missile technology, yet the US is allowed to organize massive military drills in the vicinity of North Korea. We only have to look at recent history at what happened in Iraq and Libya. UN resolutions are agreed upon, the US takes them a step further, says there is good reasoning for intervention and then causes chaos with many people suffering and dying because of it.
Is that the state of diplomacy today? Isn't there any other way?
Whatever happens, it can be assured that if military action does take place, there will be many many deaths and we have to remember that this is also on the borders of China and Russia. Can anyone imagine, after the recent ongoing hostility of the US towards Russia, that the US will be allowed into North Korea either directly or by proxy?
