If you follow my PEAKD channel regularly, you're probably wondering why I haven't published a controversial article in a while. I cannot rightfully blame you for asking if you're curious to know why I haven't done so.
Well, to be quite honest, I have over 20 articles on stand-by in my scheduling queue that are going to be posted fairly soon. As in within a week. One by one and one a day, that is.
For now my focus here is on the debacle that is going on on the HubPages writing platform. Writers are panicking left and right and are strongly considering removing their articles from that site and moving them over to other writing platforms.
Nonetheless, a group of writers and I who have published on that same writing platform have organized together, and we are seeking signatures on a petition to get The Powers That Be of the HubPages writing platform to do the right thing and stop plagiarizing our work.
As far as I know, none of my articles on that site have been stolen in that manner. However, I continue to be concerned about the situation.
There is a gentleman on the HubPages writing platform named Kyler Falk who authored this same petition and published it on June 30, 2025. Mr. Falk is a subscriber to my HubPages channel, and I'm subscribed to his.
Ladies and gentlemen here on the PEAKD platform and on the rest of the Hive blockchain? I realize that most of you don't have HubPages channels, and given the current situation, I would never recommend that any of you open up a HubPages channel until the above-described matter gets resolved, if it ever can be resolved. In any event, I am placing a link here to that same petition and ask that you also sign it.
Many of you are the most talented writers that I've ever encountered, and I can be rest assured that the majority of you do not like plagiarism any more than I do. If you're like me, you probably check your articles every so often to make sure that nobody else on the Internet has stolen them.
Help the HubPages writers by signing that same petition. You don't have to donate any money. You only have to sign it. The more people that sign it, the more chances that that same petition has of producing the results intended to make things right.
Some of these HubPages writers are very knowledgeable about how to deal with copyright violations and plagiarism, but you can do your part by signing the petition. If that petition can get more than 1,000 signatures, then the battle will likely be won.
HubPages writers will appreciate all the help that Hivers can give them in the form of signatures on the petition. I've been with the HubPages writing platform for approximately as long as I have been on the Hive writing platform and its blockchain. Therefore, this matter is dear to my heart.
Let's take the Internet back from the scammers and flimflam artists one step at a time. We all need one another.
