On my Google search, I recently used the AI overview to find out if there was such a term as "self-appointed psychiatrist" that received widespread usage in the English language. There was. The AI overview read:
. . . a "self-appointed psychiatrist" is someone who offers advice or guidance on mental health issues without the necessary training or qualifications. They may not be able to provide accurate diagnoses or effective treatment, and their advice could potentially be harmful.
Hmmm. There seems to be a large number of those on YouTube and elsewhere on the Internet. The AI overview further stressed that such a person doesn't possess the proper certification to practice psychiatry and is basically practicing psychiatry without a medical license. As in any other field of medicine, that is a crime everywhere here in the United States.
The term "pedophilia" and the likes originate from the Fifth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders ("DSM-5"). Therefore, anyone without a medical license who accuses someone of being a pedophile merely on a whim rather than based upon any sort of medical diagnosis is, in fact, practicing medicine without a license, which is exactly what pedo-shaming is. Interesting!
Now, I realize that many of us may be guilty of having pedo-shamed someone in the past without realizing that we were crossing the forbidden lines of the letter of the law. Jason B Truth published an article titled "Unwarranted Pedo-Shaming Can Lead To Legal Consequences" about it.
Nonetheless, there are people who get off on falsely accusing others of being a pedophile when they do not have the know-how or expertise to make that same psychiatric determination. Wow! I could have all the men-hating femi-Nazis on Reddit like the ones that verbally assaulted me not too long ago indicted for practicing psychiatry without a license.
Wouldn't that be ironic? Especially since these hags thought that I was the one committing a crime. What a laugh! 😀 Some of these femi-Nazis would look good in an orange jumpsuit. LOL!
I could just see the headlines on the Internet. A bunch of men-hating femi-Nazis from Reddit are arrested and hauled off to jail for mendaciously pedo-shaming someone on PEAKD merely for expressing his viewpoint. Wouldn't that be the sweet revenge that these witches' victims have wanted for a long time?
I'm not a big fan of the psychiatric profession. However, if someone is going to diagnose a complete stranger with pedophilia, which pedo-shaming is, then that person should at least be required to hold a medical license in psychiatry.
If that same person does hold a medical license in psychiatry and falsely accuses someone of being a pedophile, then that person should be subjected to all of the disciplinary action that the law allows. Nobody should get to brand anyone falsely with the scarlet letter of pedophilia without facing the consequences of their actions.
Now, I realize that someone who is not a mental-health professional can accuse someone of being a pedophile and be correct about it. If that person knows that someone has been diagnosed with pedophilia in accordance with the DSM-5, then they're not committing slander or any other sort of legal transgression in that event, civil or criminal.
You don't have to agree with the definition of pedophilia and the likes that appear in the DSM-5. You simply have to recognize that the DSM-5 holds the accurate definition of it and its likes. The world has enough shady psychiatrists in it. We don't need self-appointed psychiatrists taking writer's license with words that produce a stigma whenever attached to anyone wrongfully.
If I see a man making sexual advances at a 6- or 7-year-old girl, I'm either going to confront him or phone the authorities. Whether he is truly a pedophile will be something strictly between a psychiatrist and him, although it is perfectly permissible for me or anyone to indicate our suspicions that he may be one inasmuch as we are not officially diagnosing him.

The DSM-5 excludes teenagers as objects of pedophilia and as potential prey for pedophiles. Regardless of what society or the law have to say about it, the American Psychiatric Association ("A. P. A.") has the final word about it. Everybody needs to follow this same rule of thumb whether they like it or not.
All of these self-proclaimed child advocates should stop being self-appointed psychiatrists. It's illegal, and nobody really appreciates it.
An actual pedophile is going to search online for videos of small children and toddlers taking baths. They're not going to be interested in teenage girls. Never mind what any of these dense-headed "predator catchers" have to say about it.
Take the example of Gwyneth Weiss on YouTube. She's 14 years old. However, when you see her in the video below, she's like a full-figured woman.

To a pedophile, she would look like an old lady. Her 16-year-old sister, Gracelynn, is a knockout too. There may be older men who find these two girls attractive, but these older men are no less normal than any teenage boy who would feel the same way about them.
Neither of these girls are exactly young enough to be playing with Barbie dolls, and it's likely been a long time since either one of them watched a Bugs Bunny cartoon on their own volition.
Their beauty and maturity show on their faces and on their physiques. Their feminine sophistication cannot be denied even by the most extremist of self-proclaimed child advocates.
Radical feminists may whine and accuse me of objectifying these same two teenage girls. However, fact has it that Gwyneth would not have been able to model the dresses that she did in the above video four years ago, because she wouldn't have had the figure back then to do so inasmuch as she was still a little girl back then.
If Gwyneth and Gracelynn both lived in a culture that didn't put age limits on everything as is done in the United States, most of their suitors would likely be men in their twenties or older rather than teenage boys. You simply cannot overlook the bare facts. Pardon the expression.

Mendacious pedo-shaming is producing an epidemic of fake pedophilia. In case you don't know what fake pedophilia is, it is when someone takes writer's license with the actual definition of pedophilia and misuses it to make false accusations of pedophilia against someone that have no real basis in fact.
Self-proclaimed child advocates and the likes have been stirring up trouble for the United States in the form of mendacious pedo-shaming. Well, we all need to let them know that what they are doing is criminal in that probably virtually none of them have any kind of medical degree or certification that would qualify them to diagnose anyone with a paraphilia.
Journalists who have no certification or even medical background in psychiatry have no business accusing anyone of being a pedophile in view of the fact that they are not qualified to call anyone a pedophile. These self-righteous do-gooders are like a cancer, and they need to be stopped once and for all.
Everyone has different wants and needs, and everyone experiences life differently. Therefore, everyone cannot agree on what should or should not be the norm. Diversity is becoming a way of life here in the United States. Let's respect one another instead of judging one another.
