ETHICS COMMITMENTS BY EXECUTIVE APPOINTEES
This order covers the executive branch appointees. It bars the appointees from getting hired to lobbying firms after their appointments are up. This also acts as sort of a pledge the appointees must take before filling their positions.
This one is short and to the point. I can't find any fault with it really. Anything to stem the tide of lobbyists coming into government and back out again is good. There is nothing inherently wrong with lobbying, but the potential for corruption is always there. Especially, when there is a revolving door from the halls of government to those lobbying firms. In a free society, the government would be so small that the citizens wouldn't notice it, therefore making the lobbying firms less powerful as well.
