Biometrics - fingerprints, retina scans or facial recognition - are getting more and more widespread. They are marketed as "secure" additions or stand-alone systems for a wide range of applications, such as paying or entrance to buildings.
But those systems are not secure. Especially fingerprints are easy to obtain. Sellers of fingerprint systems say they can differentiate between living and dead fingers, but that was proven wrong several times, most notably in the case of the finger of the German Minister Schäuble (CCC german), who is infamous as a survaillance-fanboy.
But how about facial recognition? If you don't have a twin, it is secure, right?
Wrong.
Scientist made cheapo glasses that were able to convince state-of-the-art security systems that a row of man were all actress Milla Jovovic (This also shows those systems have no idea of the concept of beautiful.) And an Asien woman became a caucasian man, without any operation!

Next time a shop tries to convince you to pay with your face, you might better say no.
