I'm sorry for not giving credit to the photographers who took these amazing images. I've seen them shared in multiple places on social media and in news articles. If you find the source, please let me know, and I'll give them credit.
You can follow the story online, but it basically involves corruption and the people demanding the governor resign.
Now imagine, just for a moment, if all of these freedom-loving individuals completely threw off the myth of authority and realized they don’t just want this particular ruler removed, but all rulers removed. Imagine what the world could look like with no single point of failure. Imagine governments and politicians replaced by transparent, immutable, blockchain agreements called “multisig proposals” which require multiple cryptographically secure signatures from multiple, trusted members of the community elected by token holders with skin in the game. All uses of shared collaborative commons resources would be transparent and available for audit by anyone.

This is important.
Humanity is getting ready to try something different. Blockchains are the future. It's up to use to build systems that are usable, practical, and solve real-world problems for every day people. That's why I love Steem (anyone can blog!). That's why I'm involved with eosDAC (we need better governance systems!). And that's why I'm working with FIO to make all cryptocurrencies easier to use.
I hope you can help by doing what you're called to do also.
