First if you are a person that doesn't know or understand what Net Neutrality is or what it does/did, in a nutshell:
Net Neutrality was a law that was put in place during the Obama administration to help protect you and me the end users as well as small businesses from discriminatory service practices of large telecommunication corporations. So this includes home internet providers as well as cellular providers from part-taking in practices such as throttling (slowing down) internet speeds then making you pay for faster speeds or using the pay to play tactics by allowing larger companies to pay for more bandwidth (speed) to provide their content faster then their competitors, and so on. An A-Hole by the name of Ajit Pai who was appointed the chairman of the FCC he fought to repeal this law and against all of the massive outcry from Americans was successful in doing so in Dec. 2017.
This is a photo of the king mocking Ajit Pai who is in love with a giant reeses's cup mug he carries everywhere, seriously look him up on Instagram or Twitter he's like some kid.
Burger King's lastest PSA campaign "Whopper Neutrality" is aimed at teaching people about Net Neutrality by creating an equivalent scenario within their restaurant using the Whopper. This was done by telling their customers that they now would have to pay for faster service in tiers or "MBPS" (Making Burgers Per Second)
Whopper prices as Follows:
- A Slow MBPS Whopper........$4.99
- Fast MBPS Whopper............$12.99
- Hyperfast MBPS Whopper ...$25.99
