At least 40 people, including six children, were killed in a road accident in Telangana state of India.
Officials said that the passenger bus of the state transport company fell into a valley in Jagatyal district on Tuesday, officials said on condition of anonymity.
As per the published news, there were a total of 70 passengers on the bus. The bus was returning from Kundagatu to Jagatyal.
Officials said that the bus fell into the adjacent valley in Shanwrapat village near the Ghat road.
The accident could have caused the breakdown, authorities said.
After the temple philosophy, pilgrims were returning to their areas on the bus.
Zagatal district collector, who supervised the rescue after the accident, told PTI that the accident occurred between 11:45 am (local time) and noon in the morning.
India's Road Transport Authority said that there are permanent instructions and restrictions on movement of Ghat road to avoid accidents.
