After the general election in Pakistan, the new government is going to be formed soon. The US has expressed interest in working with the upcoming new government for security and stability in South Asia.
The Pakistan Interior Ministry said on Thursday that Pakistan's daily newspaper Daily Dawn said this. 
Imran Khan's party Tehrik-i-Insaf is far ahead of other parties, based on partially-known partial results. They are almost ready to form the government.
A spokesman for the country's interior ministry said, "Since Pakistan is going to be the leader of the new government, the United States has been interested in working with the government in the interest of South Asia's security, stability and prosperity." 
Asked about the results of the election, the spokesman said, "We are awaiting the results of the state's primary results by the Pakistan Election Commission and the observer."
The influential media of Dawn Dawn said this morning that Imran's team was ahead of others with 110 seats. Besides, Nawaz Sharif's PML-N is in second place with 63 seats. In addition, the Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has secured 42 seats.
