Richard Branson, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos – They call them philanthropists
A three-man circus act of billionaire dynamic frontmen, all itching to explore space, and racing for first place.
Philanthropy to me has such a ring of superiority – it smells a little of buying oneself free, a ticket to heaven maybe? Or could it be just making amends for the dark side of acquiring millions and billions? Can it be true altruism? And if so, do we really need millions or billions to love and give to our fellow man in order to be called a good person, a philanthropist – one who loves humanity?
The race to far out space continues with them. I can’t help but think of this one question in the room … have we even been to the moon? And why hasn't anyone released good detailed satellite pictures of the moon to the public? Oh heck, that might be too simple.
Notwithstanding the moon question, the race is on…let us watch as the philanthropists blow money, time, and energy to the wind. 💨
It would be interesting to know, how the people pictured below feel about it.
We are programmed by society and throughout our life with a desire for higher, further and faster. I think people like Branson, Musk, and Bezos perpetuate that desire by the way they make it look so tasty for us. Because look! You can be a billionaire, live an extravagant life and still be a good person, wow philanthropy…that’s my ticket, that’s what I’m going to do when I grow up!
