The official site beat me to it, lol! I planned to write this post since yesterday...
But luckily I didn't really wanted to talk about the auctions for the Legendary planets, although if you've got the STEEM, go for them, time is running out!
I like the game idea and the fact it it seems to have a finality, an end-game (or at least end season), which is great in a competitive game.
I don't know inside details, but seems straightforward that the alliance which will build the Wonder of the Universe (WoU) first will win.
This WoU will need massive amounts of resources to be built, nothing a single player or a small alliance can do. It will sustain massive attacks, so it will need to be protected by the alliance building it.
Although you can try to play solo, I think this is not a solo game. It's also a game where specialization is important, I'd say critical if the end-game is the goal.
But before the WoU module will be developed, we will need to get used to the usual gameplay and grow. That's because accounts need to be quite well developed before anyone even attempts to build the WoU, most likely.
Game starts THIS EVENING, at 20:00 UTC.
Although it will be pretty late here, I will try to play it for a short while before sleep.
If you want a sneak peak inside the game play at this stage of development, here's one offered by one of the beta testers @louis88 a few days ago:

If you want to know about the reward pool distribution, the official website posted something recently:

And if you're interested in the blockchain coding part of it, @holger80 - who's part of the development team -, gave us some info:
