Recently I've been reading lots of tweets on NFTs and I find that people and some marketplaces encourage artists to come to the marketplaces directly and some say they even wouldn't consider buying artworks if they are promoted by agencies and curators.
Well for me as a curator that sort of discrimination sounds weird and I'll put it like this - not all the artists have time to spam Twitter, discord/telegram chats, register their profiles on all the platforms, and shout on every corner: look at my work! They need time to do what they are good at. Furthermore, if someone else believes in your skills, talent, and future, and is ready to invest their time and money in that promotion - which gives you more social credit, the artworks gain more value.
And it's not all about the money and not like artists become employees of the agencies. It's a digital ocean full of creations and other creatures. And more chances your voice can be heard and your signals can be received. Let them hear your voice!
