I'm still learning how to navigate this platform, so, I'm not sure if this is just going to be a post floating away into the abyss, or if it might catch wind and land where the right person lays eyes on it. I'm going to hope that's the case though.
I'm looking to help a friend who is from in South Sedan to get in touch with a Canadian NGO operating out of South Sedan. I have reached out to multiple organizations and gotten no response, as of yet and I told him I'd dig into it and see what I could do to help him. As I gave him my word on this matter, I will continue to dig. This post is in no way, my last resort, but a shout out into the universe for help.
It's weird that I feel the need to state this, but I don't want to be a hero or have my ego pumped up by helping friend in need. I met a young man in college who inspired me with his willingness and desire to hurl himself into tough situations without backing down. He was one on of many children in his family. Somewhere in the middle of the family, if memory serves me, and his father had to choose one child to come to Canada to get an education. He was entrusted with the mission to get educated and bring back the knowledge and education to help his family, his communities and his country.
I can't imagine being a young man, given so much responsibility, but he took it in stride and did exactly what was expected of him. He continues to become the man that he said he would, over 10 years ago, and I have the utmost respect for him and people like that.
That's why I'm looking for any leads that might help him to continue his mission to have a positive impact on his family, community and country. I'm hoping this might find the right set of eyes. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
