NOIA Network is a Programmable Internet Technology that is aiming to provide secure internet services for SaaS, IoT, and a VPN. They are making huge progress and their POC is being used by various technology giants.
Along with other achievements and implementations, NOIA has implemented WireGuard as a way to connect to the system. So if you connect two endpoints...the data is sent in a zero-trust way, so no one would be able to see the data or decrypt it.
Including WireGuard in the Linux kernel by default means that it will be much easier and safer for users to connect to the network, without the need to install the protocol separately. Anyone will be able to start using NOIA from any device using a simple command.
WireGuard is an extremely simple yet fast and modern VPN that utilizes state-of-the-art cryptography. It aims to be faster, simpler, leaner, and more useful than IPsec while avoiding the massive headache. It intends to be considerably more performant than OpenVPN. WireGuard is designed as a general-purpose VPN for running on embedded interfaces and super computers alike, fit for many different circumstances. Initially released for the Linux kernel, it is now cross-platform (Windows, macOS, BSD, iOS, Android) and widely deployable. It is currently under heavy development, but already it might be regarded as the most secure, easiest to use, and simplest VPN solution in the industry.

WireGuard is super suitable for machine-to-machine communication. It's speedy to boot up and establish the connection. So hundreds of connections can be established within milliseconds which is necessary for machine-to-machine communication and dynamic machine-to-machine connections.
You can create and destroy thousands of connections every second between thousands of servers if you want to. That would be very difficult to do using something like IPSec. Almost all SD-WAN solutions have IPSec mesh implemented (so you only need one person to create the IPSec mesh network), but it's very hard to manage IPsec networks. WireGuard makes all of this relatively easy. It’s incredibly lightweight. It has only ~3,800 lines of code so it's not complicated at all. This makes integration and deployment much easier.
The NOIA Platform needs to be capable of establishing, managing and analyzing vast networks of disparate connections, including machine-to-machine applications. That’s why NOIA choose WireGuard.
NOIA Network has a very huge potential. It’s currently being piloted by over 10 big tech companies and targeting billion-dollar companies for mass adoption.
