For reasons I won't enumerate,
I find mermaids fascinating.
Some years ago, I encountered a lovely and moving work of mermaid art. Once in a while, I return to study it and to imagine that scene.

I thought I'd share this encounter with you today.
The image portrays a very whimsical dream-like meeting between a deep sea diver and a mermaid.
The artwork is by Oliver Regueiro, entered into a contest in 2011, and subsequently echoed widely across the internet.
Today I'm posting a "fair-use," reduced size, cropped excerpt. I include full attribution to Oliver Regueiro, the artist, and direct links to his original posting.
