NVIDIA has recently announced the first Turing GPUs of the GeForce RTX family and is still based on the new Turing architecture, which return to the GeForce GTX range. The GeForce GTX 1660Ti card followed by the GeForce GTX 1660 model are both based on a Turing GPU but without RT Cores and Tensor Cores and therefore lose both technical features which distinguish between the GeForce RTX boards. Instead we find support for integers and floating points, a unified cache architecture with larger L1 caches, and adaptive shading support in a contemporary way, as a difference to the previous generation Pascal proposals. Completed by the GeForce GTX 1650 cards NVIDIA is now proposing an alternative to GeForce GTX 1050Ti cards for all systems that do not have additional power connectors for the card in the entry-level market segment. GeForce GTX 1650 is, in fact, compatible with the PCI Express 16x motherboard connector in NVIDIA specification with a consumption of 75 watts. Therefore, such a card is a valid upgrade solution for all those looking for a stronger GPU that does not have to interfere with their system's power supply.
