I’ve not seen this myself but my father told me about this situation at a wedding. It was in a very poor village.
The wedding was of two daughters whose father was no more in this world and the uncles were arranging the marriage.
The groom was working in Saudi Arab and had come like two weeks before the marriage. He demanded an Apache bike as a gift. The family of the girl told him that they were very poor but he didn’t listen.
Scene: On the day of marriage
Everything was ready and the groom with the Baraat (groom's wedding procession) came in. Everything was going smoothly.
The groom saw there was no Apache but a Super Splendor. He asked them again to get him an Apache and said he wouldn’t take it. The family of bride joined hands but he wouldn’t listen.
You know what he did next?
He asked everyone if anybody wanted to buy a Super splendor for 10k at least and there came a man who bought the bike for around 40k.
And they went on with the marriage ceremonies like nothing happened.
