Last week I shared to you that I planted wheat grass and lettuce seeds. Sadly I got some serious trouble on them because of the rice hull that I used and mix with my soil. The rice hull has sprout too! Seeing many of them makes me sad because I really wanted to have a lettuce and now it is not possible for them to germinate and give birth to sprout.
I'd still have hopes remaining with my wheat grass. Though wheat grass looks so close to rice itself, I am pretty sure that my wheat grass can survive. It's been more than a week since I planted them and wheat grass are one of the fastest seeds to grow and able to be harvested or to use as juice. Yes, it was supposed to be my juice. I am so curious and do some research that wheat grass has a lot of good properties for helping our body in many ways.
As I do my research about how much it cost to have wheat grass, some people call it as a "Cat Grass". I didn't knew that they fed it for their cats and I wonder that maybe it is possible because my late dog used to ate grass when he's not feeling well then eventually it helps to feel better. Even my late cat ates outdoor grass too. I think it is their natural instinct to eat wild grass as their medicine.
It is now around 5 inches and still growing. The roots are full grown and it is now mixes with the rice as well. Kinda funny to think I have 2 kinds of grass at home and this is the first time that I will introduce it to my cat "sugar". While having my breakfast my cat suddenly notice our wheat grass on the floor. He gave it a sniff and started to taste it little by little. I grab my phone and record it.
Please excuse my voice, do I sounded too excited for him to try it. Omg! :)
Based on his reaction while eating the wheat grass I think he likes it. I felt like I did my job well in terms of introducing a clean grass for him.
I can't believe that after all this years, If only I knew about wheat grass, maybe I my dog chuchu can live longer. Though it is known as a cat grass, I will still try to buy more wheat grass seeds so I can have a bunch of grass anytime.
I am still hoping that some of my lettuce seeds will survive. Rice hull was one of healtht essential that is needed for a good quality soil but tomorrow or maybe this week, I will try to make it carbonize rice hull. I will share and post it here so anyone can benefit in this simple and practical way to have a good quality soil.
Thanks you as always for voting my post that helps me a lot. May God bless you all and keep safe everyone. See you on my next blog :)
