Yesterday, on Mother's Day, I ended up selling my sailboat. It was a sickening feeling, but the person, who was supposed to be taking care of the boat for me, ended up having heart problems and neglected to tell me that in the year that he was in the hospital, he abandoned the boat.
A cat, who obviously lives on the docks, decided to turn the boat into a litter box, as long strips of scat adorn the boat. The poop strips look like twisted strands of laundry lint, as the sun has blanched the poop to a dreary grey color...literally 50 shades of it.
It's so sad to see a beautiful boat, a mechanism of freedom and liberty on the open waters, so dilapidated. My memories of it are fond, but alas, the ass pirates have boarded and pillaged my barge. I feel so violated and destitute. There's no way to recover the beautiful hobby I enjoy, as I have a 1-year-old and a new baby in mama's womb. My love of sailing has sailed away without me. š
