Luka has a nice season in the NBA. He almost got the best of the Clippers by being up 2-0.
He kindly remind me of Dirk. He is not the same as Dirk since he looks more versatile by penetrating
and not settle for just three. If he got help and proper rest the Mavericks could go all the way.
He is young and full of energy. Luka uses to watch LeBron plays. Now he is playing against him
more often in the West now. You can see his style of plays look similar a bit to LeBron.
It has been a force for Slovenia to finally reach an Olympic game. This is a four year event and only the best
will get there. Not all teams have to go through this like the US, Spain, Japan as a host nation, Nigeria, Australia, France, etc...
The battle for the last four seats are between 24 other countries looking the a place. Slovenia should get in despite being European Champion. Finally they deserve it with Luka pulling a triple double in front of a Lithuania crowd. Sometimes it is a blessing for the opponent to play better.
Luka was all over to secure that win. He scored 31 points, 13 assists and grabbed 11 rebounds. He is truly everywhere to make sure Slovenia is heading to the Olympics. The fans was crazy every time Lithuania scores a basket. He got great help in the way. I have to say it is a changing place since Lithuania had been participating in the Olympics since 1992.
Germany, Slovania, Italy and Czech are filling the remaining four spots.
NBA players was all over for both teams. Apart from Luka lonely wolf, Lithuania had a couple available for the game. It was Jonas Valanciunas and Domontas Sabonis. The name Sabonis reminds me of late player Arvidas Sabonis. He was a good hook player scoring at ease. That was his son following his dad footstep.
Congrats to luka for showing what he can do all by himself in the World stage of basketball for his small country.
Definitely proud for giving it all.
