Hey guys what is good, I promised to do a follow up to my previous post about the online.io and this time around focus on the tokens to be used on the platform.
In summary, the online.io is a platform that aims to change browsing experience and revolutionize the internet by ensuring a faster,ad-free, secured and non trackable internet.
The Online.io would be using two tokens on it platform which are the OIO token and the ICE token.
The OIO tokens are generated only once and sold through token sale in which 15percent of the total supply would be kept by the team for a period of one year. The OIO tokens will serve as the major key element on the online community. web operators will have to stake the OIO token Inorder to use the online technology inorder to stop the display of ads and non-tracking of user data.
The ICE token will be used as an incentive to reward website operators/owners that integrates the online technology.
Online.io will be employing the "proof of online" which will transparently calculate and estimate the number of users who visits the website and duration of time spent on the website which will be used as a yardstick to reward website owners/operators. Users also will be able to rate website based on their experience and website performance using a rating of 1-5 stars. Website owners and operators will be able to earn based on these ratings by users in the community.
Unlike the OIO token, the ICE token won't be sold through a token sale instead it would be generated by website owners and holders of the OIO tokens and be distributed as follows;
20% of ICE tokens goes to holders of OIO tokens that keep the tokens in a special wallet regardless of whether they are webmasters(i.e owner or operator of a website) or not, 20% goes to the team to maintain the platform and to finance further future engagement concerning online.io and the remaining 60percent will go to website operators based on the proof of online which is on the basis of trust rating by users and number of traffic on each websites.
Online.io states that the major purpose of the ICE token is to help bring about easily micropayment across the online platform as you can use earned ICE token to pay for other products and services on the online marketplace.
Both the OIO and the ICE token are Ethereum based token and will play a significant role in the revolutionism of the web /internet space and ensuring the online.io dreams comes to a reality.
