¡Queridos steemians! Saludos para ustedes y buenas vibras. En esta ocasión quisimos trabajar duro para mostrar lo que para mí es hasta ahora el trabajo más importante que he hecho en Steemit. Algunos de los que me conocen de verdad (y aunque no es algo notorio a primera vista) saben que mi pasión más grande antes de The Beatles fue Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson me trae recuerdos innumerables de mi mamá y yo, ya que fue ella quien me enseñó su música y muchísimas agrupaciones más de la época.
Dear steemians! Greetings to you and good vibes. In this entry we wanted to work hard to show what for me is the most important cover that I have done in Steemit. Some of those who really know me (and although it is not something notorious at first glance) know that my biggest love before The Beatles was Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson brings me innumerable memories of my mom and I, she taught me her music and more bands of that time.
Michael para mí fue mi mayor obsesión e inspiración, y su pérdida fue uno de los momentos más difíciles de mi niñez. Recuerdo haber hecho álbumes con sus recortes y tener toda la casa llena de Michael, era mi mayor inspiración e incluso envidiaba su talento y sus habilidades artísticas.
Michael for me was my greatest obsession and inspiration, and his loss was one of the most difficult moments of my childhood. I remember making albums with his cuts and having the whole house full of Michael, he was my biggest inspiration and I even envied his talent and his artistic abilities
Es por ello que "This is it" viene siendo el recuerdo más difícil para mí. Se trata de meses de llanto por la horrible pérdida y trata también del final de su carrera (aunque él no lo quisiera así del todo). Michael fue una persona que a pesar de sus errores, dio mucha luz y música al mundo. Sigue siendo uno de los artistas más influyentes y su legado vive con nosotros.
That is why "This is it" has been the hardest memory for me. It's about months of crying for his death and it's also about the end of his career (although he did not want it that way). Michael was a person who, despite his mistakes, gave a lot of light and music to the world. He remains one of the most influential artists and his legacy lives with us.
Después de años, cerca de la fecha de su muerte, quisimos brindarle conmemoracióna lo que yo considero que es la canción más sincera y personal. "This is it", que también es el nombre de su película, la cual mostraba todo el making of de la gira musical que nunca pudo llevar a cabo.
After years, near the date of his death, we wanted to commemorate what I consider to be his most sincere and personal song. "This is it", which is also the name of his film, which showed the whole making of the musical tour he could never do.
Quisimos rendirle honor a Michael, y aunque a nivel vocal fue algo complicado (pero sencillo comparándolo con el resto de sus temas) pudimos trabajarlo con la producción audiovisual que se merece. Esto no hubiese podido llevarse a cabo sino fuera por el apoyo incondicional de @exzorltg, un excelente músico, colaborador y amigo, quien entendió desde un principio el significado de esta canción para mí y quiso ayudarme a rendirle el honor que merecía. ¡Gracias siempre!
We wanted to honor Michael, and although at the vocal level it was a bit complicated (but simple compared to the rest of his songs) we were able to work with the audiovisual production he deserves. This could not have been carried out except by the unconditional support of @exzorltg, an excellent musician, collaborator and friend, who understood from the beginning the meaning of this song for me and wanted to help me to give him the honor he deserved.
