I give out a small unofficial award for some of my favorite original songs in English/Instrumentals that are part of the Open Mic contest.
How do I participate?
- Make a valid entry to Open Mic.
- Make sure the title makes it clear that the song is original and in English or an instrumental.
- Be someone other than me.
(Sorry Spanish musicians. You guys are great but I don't understand well enough to evaluate the songs.)
Everyone I select gets these prizes:
- A full upvote from me on their post.
- 6 SBD transfer
- One more full upvote if they comment on this post.
Back from vacation and ready to get started on this again. No feeder post this week, and with the price where it is that probably means no second round of prizes. But all author rewards for this post will still go toward that just in case.
Two old favorite winners this week, and I'm ready for fall to come and the activity to go up again. This subcontest is one of the few places on Steem that's dominated by the northern temperate zone, and in August you can sure tell - the Spanish musicians are still going strong but lots of English ones are absent.

Probably I don't need to talk about Serena either, but I'm going to. I really love the surreal imagery here, especially the strawberry pie which shows up like a setting detail and turns out to be a character.

Open Mic Support
