Both the words custodian and caretaker imply that one is caring for something that does not truly belong to one's self. This is at the backbone of the problem with a centralized source creating the algorithms and rules, if you like, that govern data that can be used to motivate populations into directions. A centralized source is by nature a top-down solution imposed upon the population. When data rises from the bottom up as in a Grassroots movement the data is controlled locally and the local decisions are passed up the food chain so to speak rather than attempting to trickle down, and as we have seen this idea of trickle-down has problems.
Perhaps the anarcho decentralists have a point because to the extent we accept the power and sovereignty of the individual it is the individual and then those that surround the individual that create the environment that has Collective action. Voluntary action and the ability to act in a voluntary way is key To Human contentment and self-gratification.
It seems as though the algorithms are already clever enough to move us, as a population, in directions without our awareness or consent. We seem to be acting in a voluntary manner when in fact we are a part of a feedback loop and all of our reactions and actions to the machine intelligence are being optimized and fed back to us in a way that helps us choose directions in life that at least initially seem to be for our benefit as a whole.
Except that when we look at the world from the point of view of what the technology and our interaction with it has created, we see a world in crisis, where government as a service has been subverted 2 and through lobbying into laws that serve to control the populations of the world instead of freedom. Is this true?
Our landscapes are filled with fire and flood our rivers and oceans full of water that has plastic in large quantities as big as islands and some nations floating in it. The pulsation of the Earth and the frequencies that it transmits are being altered and our Network of global Wi-Fi and microwaves will soon be ubiquitous everywhere and consistent. It seems almost obvious that these pulsations and frequencies interfere with natural biological systems and while they at first seem harmless will overtime reveal themselves as a form of pollution in the same way that plastic has done.
And still progress moves on a head forward to wards a future something was crafted as a method of control as early as the 1920s. Still I submit that the creators of an invention don't always know what and how that invention will be used for.

With this line of thinking the idea of a intelligence explosion where overnight machine intelligence can go from rudimentary human 2 genius level and into the realm of super intelligence,that the idea of a hard take off is misinterpreted because of the very nature of intelligence as a continuum more like a sphere such as the Earth represents

This seems to be a possible Avenue 4 blockchain technology to interface with artificial intelligence. All uploaded data and information about likes and dislikes could be formed as hashes and uploaded through the blockchain or similar Technologies to whatever applications resided over that blockchain such as media sites or finances and many other areas such as a gaming and how to figure out problems for both personal and public for a Grassroots care of our selves and community. The difference between private and public being similar to the difference between centralized and decentralized systems.
