Hi Steemians,
I follow a number of different people on Steemit and while many Steemians win awards, every so often someone does something truly amazing and I like to recognize them by writing about them on my blog.
One such Steemian goes by the name @indigoocean. She just celebrated her 1st birthday or one year on Steemit. I think it is impressive that she has achieved the rank of Dolphin and she has almost 12,000 SteemPower. But in addition to those achievements, she has made 10,000 Upvotes!
She has upvoted the posts of other Steemians 10,000 times in one year!
I think we should take a moment to reflect on two things; number one this is a huge number. And number two is that the main way that newcomers to Steemit achieve recognition and earn Steem is through upvotes. The process of upvoting people’s posts is time consuming, but it is a central part, if not an essential part of our economy!
I would like to publically acknowledge this great achievement and say thank you to @indigoocean for her efforts to make the Steemit platform successful.
