Styx is one of my favorite youtubers (I rate him 10.2 out of 10.) I really enjoy his perspective on politics and love hearing about Vermont issues (rip Vermont issues series.) I did this portrait of him recently, and I have to say I never realized how much Styx looks like the 90’s Evangelical Christian renderings of Jesus that I grew up with until I started painting him. I tried to give it a subtle religious art vibe. I’m including my progression below. Be forewarned the progression is a little rough : ).
