Palm oil is the oldest and most consumed cooking oil in my country Nigeria. Prior to modern day civilization and large scale production of palm oil, the extraction of palm oil has been in existence long before i know.
Palm oil extraction may sound complicated but it is a simple process that can be perform at the comfort of your home. When you have gotten the quantity of palm fruits you need, the below listed step will guide you in the extraction process.
=> Detach the palm fruit from the bunch.
=> Wash the palm fruits to remove dirt.
=> Boil the palm fruits until they are soften for oil extraction ( when the palm fruit is cracked open)
=> Mashing the boiled palm fruit until you get the oily juice without breaking the palm nut.
=> Separate the juice from the chaff and the nut.
=> Cook the separated juice until you see the palm oil floating on the surface of the water.
=> Extract the palm oil from the water surface and repeat the boiling process until for finest oil.
