Hey dear community, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you had a day that brought numerous interesting experiences into your life! In this post, I like to explain what suggestions are and hope you are able to gain new knowledge.
The term suggestion has been known for several hundred years and refers to the conscious influence of feeling or acting and one also speaks of a targeted influence of the will which is not perceived. The term itself is derived from the Latin word suggestio which means addition and in psychology there is roughly distinguished from two different types and one form is to influence oneself in such a way that you make a different decision than usual or act differently and this is also called autosuggestion and often this form is used to help to fulfill wishes, solve subliminal blockages or to achieve health effects. If you look at the power of suggestions, you can use them to manipulate yourself in a certain direction to achieve certain goals and through suggestions it is possible to specifically influence the subconscious, which means that certain patterns can arise and the behavior is changed. Other forms in psychology occur, for example, in hypnosis and described suggestions that come from external influences and are supposed to influence a person and in many other areas they also make use of it and an example is in the marketing area where it is about anchoring certain beliefs in order to change the buying behavior. Suggestions work similarly to the placebo effect and are often based on the fact that someone believe that a certain result will come true and this results in human behavior being greatly changed and adapted to certain scenarios and of course, it always depends on how you use suggestions and there are different techniques to be able to use suggestions and it is often about influencing the behavior with the help of visualizations where it is about setting certain goals and to anchor them in different ways.
