The Manic Depressive Type...Is Coming Down

I did this painting in 1997...it's about multiple personality disorder... for some reason I attract these people to me, Oil on Canvas with mixed media - 5' x 6'

William calls me from The Psych Ward today - he's a slight bit better... He wants to make peace.

He's at personality #2, I'd say. He's still "running the show"

but he's not as mean and belligerent as #3 is. He wants to drop the court case but still thinks I stole his meat.

He plans on moving a guy from upstairs into my room to be his caretaker. I can move out whenever I like. He intends to live in this apartment the rest of his life. He tells me there is a knife hidden behind the drawer on the carpet - he was afraid I was going run through him so he hid it there.

I retrieve the knife. It is a fish knife. Considering he is a Pisces, I find this rather humorous, however, I am the least able to commit any act of Force or Violence - I have no skill in this area so it's obvious to me he is still paranoid. I am going to get my boyfriend to teach me some basics. I figure if I knew how to defend myself, I might be a little less quick to loud yelling. It's how I have defended myself and it just does not work at all.

He was really afraid of me, he says because of the unregistered pistol? and the Boric Acid - I have no idea what that means... He bought the Boric Acid for the cockroach problem - and I think that is how the dog died - I think she ate a piece of paper towel that had Boric Acid on it that she fished out of the garbage can.

But what is he referring to with guns and Boric Acid? I don't know. Besides the fact that I don't have this "unregistered pistol" anyway - I don't know what he is talking about.

He also says I karate-chopped his neck while he was trying to feed the fish - I did not. He is hallucinating. I did tap his face lightly with my hand one day - and that's probably what he is talking about. I do have a temper. I am going to be working on that because I raised my voice with my BFF the other day for the first time in our 2 years together, and it did not go over well.

I knew it wouldn't but he was being abusive in a low tone and I just got sick of it - and so I raised my voice - OH MY GOD! It's as if I dropped the atom bomb - it's ok for him to be mean in a whisper but if I raise my voice then I am the one who is wrong. I will have to talk to him about this - maybe today.

Back to William -

Then he tells me 4 of my other kitchen knives are upstairs in 402. He tells me he put them there because every time I talked to him, I had a "knife" in my hand. Are you kidding???? I had a dinner knife - you know the rounded table-ware knives that you use to cut maybe some vegetables on your plate - in my hand because I was spreading butter on a piece of toast and he was yelling at me - Wow William.

After we hung up, I called the psych ward and told the Charge Nurse = although she can't acknowledge that he is there - that although he is "better" -

he is still NOT the mild mannered gentleman who is at baseline.

I will go up to 402 with Tammy to retrieve my knives, later.

But he says he's fine with me moving out whenever I want - I tell him I will be out by the end of January.
