MAPX Token Weekly Profit Statement & News (New MAPR Tokens)

Welcome to this week's review.

The total voting SP for MAPX is now about 35,300 SP.

Please note that upvotes are now worth 35x the SP value equivalent of the tokens held. As there is one vote per day, this still comes to 3.5x what you would receive using the same SP to upvote yourself ten times per day. With the Steem blockchain upvote worth some 21% APR this means you are earning 74% APR! And that's just on the upvotes; with our rewards also yielding about 18-20% that's a total of over 90% APR! Where else will you find that on Steem?

As shown in the figures below, our ABV is now 0.990, slightly down from last week but still preserving value for the token-holders. When I started MAPX, I included a promise to keep the ABV at about 1 STEEM per token. However, this was before I had been convinced about the possibilities of having delegation-miners - a look back at the very early posts will show that I do not mention mining tokens. The miners are giving token-holders a fabulous return in terms of upvotes, but they do earn tokens that have not been bought on the market and hence cannot be converted to SP. With this in mind, the MAPX fund has actually been earning STEEM approximately in line with the mined tokens and hence been able to maintain the ABV above 98%.

This ABV means that MAPX token-holders are not just buying into an upvote service but hold part of its capital so that in the future they may well be able to sell their tokens at a decent profit.

As the ABV is currently 0.990, I shall post some tokens at that value but they will be snapped up quickly! I shall then continue to let the price rise modestly as we approach 9,000 sold tokens. A reminder that his is a closed fund of 10,000 tokens.

The other major change you may notice in the figures below is the large increase in "Other STEEM". This is almost wholly due to a token-swap between MAPX and the new MAPR token. I feel this cross-holding is beneficial to both funds: MAPR will receive high value upvotes while MAPX will receive an increase in capital. When MAPX delegation-mining ceases, I shall review how much SP the fund has and may need to sell some MAPR tokens to convert into SP. This is a few (short) weeks away.

One last item, just this morning I saw a positive review of MAPX at this article: MAPX & UFMM. Please go and add your own comments; the more quickly we sell the remaining tokens the faster the token price will rise.

Please note that I always qualify any forward predictions as they are subject to technical issues such as the proper functioning of the blockchain and our own algorithms. We are also aware that HF21 is imminent although there is no fixed date as yet.

Note that "Other STEEM" is the sum of all holdings not powered up as SP: liquid STEEM and SBD plus holdings within Steem Engine to maintain market liquidity plus some investments; we also now have stakes in MAPR, PAL and LEO, and some others, and receive rewards from them. Also note that values are volatile, especially any holdings priced in US$, so the above numbers are a snapshot and may have changed when you look at the @MAP10K account.

The Asset Backed Value (ABV) is our total holdings calculated in STEEM divided by the number of active MAPX tokens, whether staked or unstaked. This shall be used as the lowest price we offer MAPX tokens on the Steem Engine market.
