Hello friends :)
I just went through the process of claiming my airdrop of PAL coins and staking them. I now have PAL Power and can start getting rewards on here as well. I had been intending to use the #palnet tag for some stuff earlier, but had forgotten. Hopefully from now on I will remember to always include it.
I am still sort of unclear as to the benefits of this, except that is sort of a reset on the system and prevents the Steem whales from controlling things as much as they do on Steem. I'm not sure how much benefit this will have for me, but I am certainly willing to give it a shot, and I think everyone else should as well. There is absolutely no harm in trying it out.
Steem-Engine was interesting. This was my first interaction with that dApp as well. It looks pretty smooth, and I guess I am glad that people are excited about it. To me, I just see it as another way to put more transactional systems in place. I really dislike transactional systems, which is one of the reasons I am really excited by the work that TROM.

They're focused on creating trade-free systems, which is sort of diametrically opposed to most cryptocurrency based platforms. Perhaps this is just my general distaste of currencies coming through. I imagine cryptocurrency has a lot of potential as a form of Smart Contracts, but I am still very hesitant about it. Maybe I just need to learn more.
Anyways, this is the start of what will hopefully be a very rewarding time on PALNet. I hope that many of you will join me.
Until next time,
Namaste
