Today we brought a new engineer volunteer to meet with our new women's solar dehydrator cooperative in Quixaya. They'll be testing temperatures for effective drying and design improvements.
We are creating more income generation opportunities for women members of this Mayan permaculture community. The solar dehydrator enables them to create unique value-added products with no energy costs. They are specializing in organic herbal teas made with dried fruit.
