Hi folks,
I'm here again with some meme covered peakmonsters post that also has some diamonds inside. Read for fun and gain some insights as an extra, that's what I'm offering.
16 hours before this post is being written, Splinterlands announced a new Ranked Battle Reward System Updates It's very very important for us renters and owners because it has an important update in it.
Cards on 24-hour cooldown will no longer be able to be listed for rent on the rental market
I think it means When a card played you need to wait for 24 hours to rent it. Am I getting this right? I found this chat under the post.
So, this way they completely removed the scenario where you rent a card to directly use in battle and you stuck because of the 24 hours cooldown. That's a good thing for Rent2Play players.
Well, that's also bad news for the owners of the cards who cancels their card rentals 24h before the end of season. And good news for the players really rents their cards in order to make solid decks and play with them.
So what's that mean in the peakmonsters website, which we are obviously using for renting. I will all speculate here, not facts.
For the Auto CP rental option that's a relief I guess, most card owners would have second thoughts for checking out if a card played in 24 hours, if not cancel it and rent it again. If this process be a little bit less painstaking with a filter+auto way, people still do that. I think it will be available soon in Peakmonsters. Or it might be already out there, is it doable @peakmonsters ?
That also means something else. Bot accounts, as you know, rent for their respective level if not delegated. And even if you rent a very well playable card for a bot, the combinations of bots using is very limited. I'm not talking about all bots but most play the most-winning team on a specific scenario. And that means mostly those Thad, Obsidian, Kelya and Tarsa teams you frequently see around. They use ghost cards! That means their Auto-CP bid would get worse at the end of season.
I think that's good news for real players that are low on budget and renting to play. The prices won't skyrocket at the end of the season, your carefully selected and rented card that is the backbone of your team won't be canceled at the end of the season. That means more matches near EOS maybe, who knows? That means you get normal prices at peakmonsters near EOS, who knows?
What would be the effects on rent prices? I don't think they'll rise, they will keep same and only rise a little bit at the end. But we'll see about that.
Thank you for reading. Feel free to comment and let's talk about that more in-depth.
