Ci risiamo: avevamo più o meno indicato nel 2008 quali sarebbero state le azioni da intraprendere per il risanamento di alcune vetuste compagnie aeree (è tutto ancora qui) ma come al solito le logiche sindacali hanno prevalso e, coronavirus o no, si è venuto a creare un sistema insostenibile che sarebbe comunque collassato a breve, con evidenti vantaggi per operatori business o addirittura low-cost.
Ora è chiaro che nel prossimo futuro rimarranno due sole tipologie di operatori aerei: quelli dalle tariffe così basse da poter trasportare (scomodamente) chiunque e quelli che invece disporranno di piccoli (ma non più di tanto) aeromobili con varie fasce di prezzo per accontentare sia il segmento VIP sia quello NP (normal people).
E' evidente che se per gli operatori con bilanci sani in qualche modo una soluzione si troverà, molti altri avranno la necessità di razionalizzare adeguatamente i costi.
Nelle continue produzioni letterarie su materie vagamente esoteriche denominate, in funzione delle mode, human factor, crm, tem e con numerose altre sigle tendenti a cambiare negli anni (più o meno come quelle dei sindacati) ad assoluto vantaggio degli operatori che influenzano così il comportamento della popolazione dei piloti e degli assistenti di volo, senza preoccuparsi troppo della sicurezza (ai miei tempi si studiava l'aerodinamica, oggi è sufficiente ricordare acronimi ridicoli e termini come what if e decision making) si nota che oggi le categorie tecniche e commerciali dell'aviazione semplicemente non sono più all'altezza del compito.
Inanellare serie di voli in orari improbabili non è certo un buon biglietto da visita e se questo è stato lasciato fare agli operatori (non tutti ma molti) è anche per "merito" di quei soggetti che hanno permesso tutto questo.
Ora la soluzione sarà chiara e si sta già applicando. I contratti di lavoro subordinato dei dipendenti andrebbero allineati su figure di questo genere:
- comandanti: 3000 € lordi al mese
- assistenti di volo: 1800 € lordi al mese
Non servirà ovviamente retribuire i copiloti (il termine primo ufficiale non si trova nel codice della navigazione Italiano ed è pertanto un abuso utilizzarlo) in quanto saranno in tutto e per tutto dei pitch hitter ovvero semplicemente degli allievi che pagheranno per poter volare.
Per fortuna poi ci sono gli operatori seri (qui su Personal Aviation se ne trovano parecchi) ma in questo periodo sono troppo impegnati a ridere di tutto questo per poter fornire opinioni in merito.

Now it is clear that in the near future there will remain only two types of aircraft operators: those with fares so low that they can transport (uncomfortably) anyone and those who instead have small (but not too much) aircraft with various price ranges to satisfy both the VIP and the NP (normal people) segments.
It is clear that if a solution can be found in some way for operators with healthy budgets, many others will need to rationalize costs adequately.
In the continuous literary productions on vaguely esoteric subjects called, according to fashions, human factor, crm, tem and with numerous other acronyms tending to change over the years (more or less like those of the unions) to the absolute advantage of the operators who thus influence the behavior of the population of pilots and flight attendants, without worrying too much about safety (in my day we studied aerodynamics, today it is enough to remember ridiculous acronyms and terms such as what if and decision making) we note that today the technical and commercial categories of aviation are simply no longer up to the task.
Performing series of flights at improbable times is certainly not a good introduction and if this has been left to the operators (not all but many) it is also due to the "merit" of those subjects who have allowed all of this.
Now the solution will be clear and is already being applied. Employment contracts should be aligned on figures of this kind:
- captains: € 3000 gross per month
- flight attendants: € 1800 gross per month
Obviously, it will not be necessary to pay the co-pilots (the term first officer is not found in the Italian navigation act and it is therefore an abuse) as they will be pitch hitter or simply students who will pay to be able to fly.
Luckily there are serious operators (here on Personal Aviation there are many) but in this period they are too busy laughing at all this to be able to provide opinions on the matter.
