The Fundamental Equalizer
The spritual fundis call it 'fulfilment' - that often unspoken ultimate ambition we all as human beings somehow have..to in the end, when we are done with this world, feel OK about life and how we have lived it.
Okey, the word 'fulfilment' finds work in different spaces too - and so does that very familiar word 'happiness'. And I can write a whole chapter, if not a book, about 'joy' and 'happiness' and 'fulfilment'.
But I trust you get the gist..what I want to get across here is simply that there is one thing that we all have in common. In spite of all our differences as different individuals, of different cultures and ethnicities, stupid, clever, ugly, pretty, modest, ambitious, you name it - we all want to happy.
And this is of fundamental importance. This fact provides us with the most sensible guidline to plan our lives, our policies, our laws and our actions at any moment around, for the best possible outcome.
There is a lot more to say, but, if you get what I am trying to say, this basic fact about us as humans is of critical importance. In fact, believe it or not, this is what the second great commandment of Christianity is based on - "Love thy neighbour as thyself". Without a general understanding of this principle, this world will be at war forever.
We are born different, to be different forever, which we have an unchangeable fate as well as a fundamental right to be..in looks, in talents, in race, in culture and in fortune - as long as we keep our common denominator satisfied, we can each obtain fulfillment in our one and only little niche in this fantastic universe.
