Learning to be content in your life, no matter your circumstances, is power because it enables you to enjoy your life even though you are still on your journey to accomplishing various goals. Being content means that you are satisfied but it doesn't mean that you don't still want to change or things to change in your life. It doesn't mean that you don't want more for your life, it just means you can be happy even though you haven't gotten what you want yet.

Being content is living life in a way that allows you to be happy while you are still on your way to achieving different goals in your life. We may want to achieve different goals still in life, we might want a house but don't have one yet, or a wife and haven't met one yet, but we can still want those things while making a choice to be happy without it.

Perspective plays a big part in learning to appreciate and be satisfied with where you are currently at along your spiritual journey, on the way to where you are going. When we can pause for a moment and approach life with a realistic perspective then it can foster an attitude of thankfulness because we will realize just how appreciative we should be for what we currently have.

As we grow we will naturally continue to set new goals for ourselves and there will naturally be new desires in our lives and things that we want to obtain or achieve. If we cannot be happy or content until we have everything that we want then we might not ever be happy, since we will always be chasing something new. Wanting more inspires us to set goals for ourselves and move forward and grow, but it doesn't have to be the reason that we aren't presently content in our lives.
