Insights into life and success
Casey Neistat is a well known blogger from New York City, who tirelessly vlogs in his daily vlog about life, camera equipment, personal experiences and not infrequently success, personal development, life’s work and the principles behind them.
His work resonates very much with the Resonance Project and my own researches into that matter.
He not only has great filming and editing experiences, but also gives great content in his videos. Therefore I want to make a contribution to this topic today and acknowledge the work of Casey Neistat, because it was a great influence to me in the beginning stage of my own blogging.
In his video ‘Casey Neistat’s Guide to Life’ SoWiT compiles great quotes and insights into life and success from Casey.
In 06:25 Casey answers a two-part question on “How do you not give a s… about what anyone thinks and just do your own thing?”
In life you have two options: You can do your own thing and stand out, or you can do what you’re supposed to do and what everyone else does and you can fit in. There’s nothing wrong with fitting in, but you’re fitting in to cultural or societal norms, that are created by other people. Now in some cases these norms are great, but in others they don’t make sense. All these norms, these rules were created by someone, just like you or someone just like me. I don’t know who created these norms. Chances are they weren’t any smarter than you or me. And if I’m not a fan of the way things are, I just do my own thing. Because I trust myself, and I trust my perspective more sort of than that of other people.
Part two: ‘How do you not give a s… about what people think of you?’
Hmm, I should prophase this answer by saying I definitely got made fun of a lot for the way that I look, when I was in school, and all the bullies that picked on me are all loosers now. So never forget that! People, who judge others, especially people who judge others based on things like looks, whether you’re black or white, whether you’re or you’re muslim, whether you’re gay or straight, because of their body type, whether they are fat or skinny, whether you have pimples or whether you have a big butt. These judgemental people, their opinions don’t matter, because they don’t matter. Judgemental people are of a lower moral authority, than those who don’t judge. And we, people who don’t judge, we have a responsibility to crush, to destroy those mean judgemental bullies. And we do that with an overwhelming positivity, and we do that with our extreme open-mindedness. And when you subscribe to those values, you really stop caring what other people think, because chances are, if other people are judging you, they’re wrong!”
I don’t consent to every word Casey said, for example in crushing, destroying other people, because I don’t give a s… what other people think of me, but altogether he has expressed the principle of resonance very well.
Two points:
a) You can stand out or you can fit in. You simply go into resonance with what you want and what you do. So, If you want to stand out, simply do what makes you stand out and authentic and the principle of resonance will let you achieve exactly the things you want to achieve. If you’re knowingly or unknowingly fitting in, that’s also ok, the principle of resonance will give you that too.
b) Stop judging other people, other lifestyles, whatever. These are negative energies that flow back to you! Same thing with complaining. Stop complaining about your situation you’re in! If you’re complaining about your job, the principle of resonance will bring you more reasons to complain about your job, if you’re complaining about any other outer circumstances, the principle of resonance will give you more reasons to complain.
But if you’re thankful for the situation you’re in, even if it’s not the best thinkable situation you’re in, you may always find reasons to be thankful of, then the principle of resonance will put you in other situations, where you can be more thankful, more grateful, more successful.
When you’re living in the moment, doing what you think is best for you, not giving a s… what other people think of you, working hard to achieve your goals in life, stop judging other people and don’t complain about things going wrong, you will definitely achieve what ever you want!
Besides that I’m convinced that whatever you do, wherever you are, you’re always in the right moment at the right place! Your thoughts, your words and your action have brought you right there! There’s no way to deny it! You’re here to learn from your own misbehaviors, and if you want to change something in your life, it’s up to you, to change your behaviour! There’s no one coming to help you! You are the one you’ve been waiting for!
Change the frequency you’re thinking, and the principle of resonance will bring you health, wealth, wisdom, love and everything you want in your life!
Stay steemed!
Love, Unity & Abundance
